On Sunday, March 8, 2026, our queen transitioned peacefully into an angel, taken suddenly by a fatal aortic dissection. It happened swiftly, without warning, soon after she smiled and said to Jay, “This is such a perfect day. Let’s make every Sunday just like this.”

She will be remembered for her love of all beings around the world. Her love for traveling to unknown places took her to peaceful trails, holy rivers, deserted beaches, serene lakes, and mountain vistas. Her warmth and joy will remain in our hearts forever.

Shelly’s exploratory spirit shines on through her circle of beloved friends and family. May the path Shelly walked remind us to stay curious, to move gently through the world, and to grow endlessly in our mind, body, and soul.
