Many keep urns with their loved one’s ashes for years.

We hear this all the time. Some have their loved one’s ashes in their closet or on the mantle for years or decades. Maybe you've been wanting to scatter your loved one's ashes but haven't been able to get away or feel overwhelmed by choosing a location. A full-service scattering can bring closure and healing, without all the pressure.

Urns make a poor multi-generational gift.

It’s likely that your children or grandchildren do not wish to inherit an urn years from now. What will be done with your loved one's urn when you are gone?

I used Emily’s scattering service for my beloved husband’s ashes. His wish was to have his ashes scattered at a ski area since his first love was snow skiing. I was in a quandary with the COVID as to how to make sure his wishes were met, especially when I was now residing in Florida. I started looking online for help and found an angel named Emily. She is so caring and made the process as easy as possible. I could tell by our communications that she was the very best in handling his ashes with loving care. She provided the shipping urn, concise directions and even photos and a short film of the actual scattering event. I very highly recommend Emily and her staff for providing the best scattering service available. THANK YOU EMILY AND STAFF!

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to arrange the scattering?

In most cases the scattering can be completed within a few weeks from receiving the ashes. However, if a permit is required at the site you’ve requested, the timeline may vary.

Can it be done year-round?

Scattering can be done based on the accessibility of the site. Many desired locations may not be accessible during the winter months due to snow. Other locations can be reached year-round.

Is it legal?

It is legal to spread ashes in Colorado as long as it’s permitted by who owns or governs the land. We will make every effort to obtain necessary approvals prior to scattering so you don’t have to.

Do we have to use all the ashes in the scattering?

No. You may provision the ashes however you’d like. Some keep ashes for jewelry, cremation memorial trees, or other keepsakes. Simply send what you’d like us to include in the scattering.

Can you scatter my pet’s ashes?

Yes. Pets hold a special place in our hearts and we’d be honored to help give them a special resting place, too.
