Mary Ellen O’Flaherty

June 4, 1947 - October 10, 2025

Mary Ellen passed away from a stroke at 78 years old. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She leaves her son Mark Schantz, sisters Kathleen (Jim) and Maureen (Craig), Brothers Michael (Trish) Stephen (Lori) and Patrick (Amy). Preceded in death by her brother Matthew. She will be missed by Nieces Carrie, Meg, Zachary, Amanda, Caitlin, Kathleen, Erin, Darrah, Julia and Kelly.

Mary Ellen attended Saint Mary’s Academy and Cherry Creek High School. She Graduated from Metro State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education.

Mary Ellen loved her many cats notably Gump and Pixel. She was a connoisseur of great music, arts, comedy and writers.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Eileen.
