Myra Lee Gomez

November 17, 1935 - November 2, 2025

Myra Lee Gomez, born November 17, 1935, in White Earth, Minnesota, passed away on November 2, 2025 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

She was welcomed into eternal rest by her parents, Peter and Julia Lemieux; her sons, Richard and Michael Gomez; and her siblings, Kenneth, Marjorie, Marlene, Joann, and Gloria.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her daughters, Diane (Charles) Cde Baca and Michelle Boisseaux; and her bonus sons, William (Melissa) Thompson and Anthony (Lara) Navarro. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, her best friend Vickie Lankow, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Myra was an enrolled member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and remained deeply connected to her community throughout her life. She attended Haskell Indian Nations University and later made her home in Colorado, where she devoted herself to raising her children as a single mother, meeting life’s challenges with strength and determination, including caring for a son with muscular dystrophy. A dedicated and hardworking woman, she held many jobs over the years before retiring from Quest. In her retirement, she found great joy in returning each summer to the Fond du Lac Reservation, taking her grandchildren on memorable road trips to attend powwows and stay connected to their heritage. Above all, Myra cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the center of her life.

The family extends a very special thank you to Collier Hospice and their caring staff for their compassion and support.
