Linda Sorenson

Dr. Linda Nadene Sorenson, 78, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026. Born on September 21, 1948, in Ada, Minnesota, to Neil and Uranus Sorenson, she lived a life defined by serving God and prioritizing family and friends.
She grew up in Perley, Minnesota, before graduating from Concordia Teachers College in 1970. She went on to earn her Master's Degree in 1983 and her Doctorate in 2009. Linda built a fulfilling career as a music teacher in Denver Public Schools for more than 30 years.
After her retirement in 2013, she cherished providing "Grandma daycare" for her grandson, Tyler, as well as traveling, playing the piano, singing, and sharing her passion for music with others. She also enjoyed baking, woodworking, yard work, reading, running, sewing, and hosting wonderful gatherings at her home. A lifelong learner, she was known for her genuine kindness, integrity, sense of humor, and grace.
She is survived by her daughters, Heather (Ken) Beckey and Sarah (Bryan) Fischer; her grandchildren, Tyler Beckey, Teah Fischer, and Langdon Fischer; and her brother, Lyle (Scott) Sorenson, of Minnesota.
