Sherie Ann Blanchard

Sherie Ann Blanchard (Roberts), 70, passed away on August 13, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 9, 1956, in Palm Springs, California, to Clayborn and Mildred Roberts.
Sherie spent most of her life in California before finding what became her final home in colorful Colorado. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, caregiver, and friend whose greatest joy was found in the people she loved.
Sherie attended the University of Montana to study Social Work, drawn to a lifelong calling to care for others. She spent much of her life as a full time mother and grandmother, pouring her heart into her family. Her final career was working as a caregiver for her daughter's home care company before retiring, a fitting final chapter for a woman whose instinct was always to care for others.
She is survived by her children, Jessi, Brandon, and Brittney and her grandchildren, Reece, Logan, London, and Harper.
Family was everything to Sherie. There was a special peace she found in the presence of her children, and even in her final days, being surrounded by them brought her comfort. Her family will forever carry the love, memories, lessons, and laughter she gave them.
Sherie had a deep love for the beauty of the world around her. She spent countless hours in her garden, creating beautiful spaces filled with flowers and tending to them with the green thumb she seemed to have naturally. She loved the beach and the mountains, sunsets and palm trees, and sitting on a patio with a cold cocktail in hand. She loved to travel, with Florida holding a special place in her heart. She was always on the hunt for a good burger, loved 90s country music, and could never resist a good dance floor.
She often reminded her children, “If you ever have the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.” Those words captured so much of who she was, someone who wanted the people she loved to experience life, find joy, and keep dancing through it all.
Sherie was never afraid to have an opinion. She believed deeply in compassion, equality, kindness, and standing up for those who needed a voice. She proudly held liberal values and was never shy about expressing her frustration with politics and the state of the world. She cared deeply about leaving the world a little better than she found it and believed people should look out for one another. Her convictions were part of what made her wonderfully, unapologetically herself.
And in her final months, Sherie developed one particularly devoted relationship: Gilmore Girls. She watched it nearly around the clock, becoming completely invested in the lives of Lorelai, Rory, and the rest of Stars Hollow. It became a familiar and comforting companion during a difficult season of her life.
Sherie overcame many obstacles throughout her life, meeting each one with strength and perseverance. Her final battle was with cancer. After a long and courageous fight, she was tired, and it was time for her to rest.
In keeping with Sherie's love for the earth, she chose water cremation, returning her to the natural world she loved so deeply.
Her family will honor her life with an intimate celebration of life at a later date, surrounded by those who loved her most, at her favorite beach in Southern California.
Sherie's life was rooted in love, family, nature, strong convictions, and the simple beauty of living. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and carried with her family wherever they go.
And when the sun sets over the ocean, there will always be a piece of Sherie there, among the waves, the palm trees, the flowers, the music, and the people she loved most.
