Kyle Matthew Lokey

November 8th, 1996 - July 22nd, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kyle Matthew Lokey, age 29, on July 22, 2026, in Denver, Colorado.

Born on November 8, 1996, in Rockville, Maryland, Kyle was raised in Frederick, Maryland where he spent most of his life before making his home in Denver, Colorado, for the past five years. Kyle was exceptionally intelligent and endlessly curious. From a young age, he displayed a remarkable aptitude for mathematics, technology, and problem-solving. He also enjoyed playing ice hockey, a sport he loved throughout his younger years. A gifted self-taught programmer, he had an incredible ability to learn complex skills on his own and was always fascinated by computers and the ever-evolving world of technology. He had a passion for PC gaming, loved learning new things, and approached the world with a perspective that was uniquely his own.

Kyle is survived by his father, Howard “Scott” Lokey of Midwest City, Oklahoma; his mother, Delores (Finch) Tomich and her husband, Dave Tomich, of Mount Airy, Maryland; his sister, Amanda Hatcher of Hedgesville, West Virginia; his brother, Ryan Lokey of Brooklyn, New York; his brother, Justin Lokey and his wife, Antonia Lokey, of Oceanside, California; and his sister, Taylor Lokey and her fiancé, Keegan Boone, of Bethesda, Maryland.

He was also a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose life touched the hearts of many.

Kyle’s passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. While our time together was far too short, we will forever cherish the memories we shared and the remarkable person he was. We will remember his brilliant mind, his quiet nature, his individuality, and the unique perspective he brought to the world.

Though he is no longer with us, Kyle’s memory will live on in the stories we tell and the love we will always carry in our hearts. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A private viewing for immediate family will be held in Denver, Colorado. A memorial service celebrating Kyle’s life will be held in Maryland at a later date. Family and friends will be invited to gather to honor his life, share memories, and celebrate the lasting impact he had on those who loved him.
