Nancy Ellen Jepson
December 13, 1956 - February 21, 2026
Nancy Jepson, 69, of Denver, Colorado, peacefully passed away on February 21, 2026, after her courageous battle with lung cancer.
Nancy was deeply beloved by all. She adored Christmas and holiday parties; reading in her beach chair, toes in the ocean; and cooking family feasts for everyone. She always made room in her home for loved ones, friends, and those who had nowhere else to go; and somehow, always had enough food for all.
Born on December 13, 1956, in Milford, Connecticut, Nancy carried a love of learning and adventure throughout her life from a young age. She graduated from The American University of Paris and went on to live and work in France for several years thereafter, an experience that deeply shaped her worldview and lifelong appreciation for culture, history, and hospitality.
She spent her career working in travel and hospitality at both Globus and Wyndham Hotels where her warmth and natural ability to make others feel included became her hallmark. Whether through her professional work or in her personal life, Nancy had a gift for bringing people together and creating spaces filled with comfort and generosity. She will be remembered for her festive gatherings, her carefully arranged Christmas village, and the porch and holiday decorations that turned her home into a place of light and welcome regardless of the season. As an impeccable host, her warm smile and humor made you feel like family the moment you arrived.
Above all, Nancy was an extraordinary mother. She is survived by her beloved children, Sarah and John, who were the center of her world and her greatest joy. She shared her children with her former husband and friend, Greg DeMoully. Nancy is also survived by her sisters, Linda, Susan, Margot, and Paula. She was a devoted member of the Virginia Vale Swim Club and the Kirk of Bonnie Brae.
She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her quick wit, and the love she poured into her family and friendships. She delighted in the rituals of summer, including bountiful beach and pool coolers, a dip in a kettle pond, and ending the day sharing High Tides over lobster rolls with family out on the deck.
In her final days, Nancy spoke often of “fearlessness and joy” — a prayer she carried for herself and for those she loved. It is how she lived, and how she hopes others will continue.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at the Kirk of Bonnie Brae in Denver. In Nancy's memory, the family invites guests to wear stripes. Reception to follow at Nancy's home after the service.
Nancy’s spirit lives on in the love she gave so freely to the many lives she touched.
