Georganne Richele Bley

August 30, 1965 - May 26, 2025

Dr. Georganne Richele Bley, an angel walking the earth in a human’s body, died May 26, 2025, at home in Denver, Colorado. Georganne was loved and cherished by many people throughout her life. Her smile always brightened everyone who encountered her.

Dr. Bley was born in Denver, Colorado on August 30, 1965, to Deanna and Earl Bley. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion and a dedication to healing and uplifting others.

Georganne is survived by Nancy Stephenson, her loving and devoted wife of twenty-five years. She is also survived by her mother, Deanna R. Bley, her sister, Cathy Osborne (Buddy), her brothers Richard and Dennis (Desiree). She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Madison Osborne, Jessica Osborne-Nichols (Andrew), Zack Bley, Madison Bley, Kaden Bley, Jeremy Osborne, and Maura Nichols.

Georganne was preceded in death by her father, Earl Bley, her grandparents, Kelly and George Cooley of Sheridan, Wyoming and Alice and Richard Bley of Great Falls, Montana.

Georganne graduated from Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado and went on to complete bachelor's and master’s degrees from the University of Colorado, Denver. She successfully completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Denver, followed by a postdoctoral program in neuropsychology.

She helped many people heal and grow through her psychology practice throughout her career of almost thirty years. She was active in many social justice efforts throughout her life, including human rights, helping those in need, and lifting up the cultures of Denver’s, LGBTQ+, Hispanic, and Black communities.

She was a long-time member of several organizations including Dignity Denver, The Spirituals Project choir, Bennie L. Williams Spiritual Voices choir, and the Stiles African American Heritage Center.

Georganne’s passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of many. She is greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. The location is Capitol Heights Presbyterian Church, 1100 Fillmore Street, Denver, Colorado, 80206.
