Doug (Douglas Paul) Eulberg

May 16, 2026

Doug (Douglas Paul) Eulberg, 72, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2026, six months after receiving a stem cell transplant to treat MDS, a blood disorder. He was the son of Frank and Martha Eulberg of Wheat Ridge, both deceased.

Doug was known for his jovial personality, helpfulness, and genuine affection for people. He was happiest when playing card games with family, listening to music, volunteering (for Project Angel Heart and Denver Center for the Performing Arts), snorkeling in Hawaii, bicycling along Bear Creek, or driving his 1971 MGB.

Doug is survived by his beloved wife, Melanie, and children Jeremy Sylvanus (Andra) of Asheville, NC, and Tyera Eulberg (Phil Hickey) of Louisville, CO.  Gompa will be much missed by his cherished granddaughters, Elly Sylvanus, Kaia Sylvanus, and Ren Eulberg-Hickey.

He also precedes his devoted siblings: Dave (Joyce) Eulberg, Diane (David) Wilde, Dan (Libby) Eulberg, and Dennis (Vincie) Eulberg; their children: Stephanie (Rob) St.John, Jessica (Rich) Ruster, Derek (Pam) Wilde, Delana (Jeff) Meier, Krista (Jake) Lasko, Jeff (Natalie) Eulberg, Anthony (Jess) Eulberg, and Nicole (Kyle) Wolf; plus 20 grandnieces and grandnephews.  Doug was a treasured brother to Melanie's sisters, Tawny Blinn (Gary Osburn) and Roma Blinn, and uncle to Alexa Blinn Martinez.

Doug kept in touch with a large community of cousins, school friends, church friends, and computer programming coworkers (from Dillon/King Soopers/Kroger, United Airlines, Covia, Galileo, and Sabre), as well as the MG Car Club rallying community, poker buddies, and sports pool fans. He made many enduring friendships while working and living with his family in England, 1988-1991. He liked a little adventure and sharing new horizons, now and then.

Generous with his time and fix-it abilities, Doug often answered the call to help those in need. He was humble about his own accomplishments, focusing instead on appreciating others. Doug was a patient listener and a kind human being. Even the challenges of illness could not dim his good nature or his mischievous sense of humor. He was extremely grateful for the love and support of Team Doug throughout the past year.

A Celebration of Life for Doug is being planned for August 22, 2026, at Columbine Unitarian Universalist Church, 6724 S. Webster St., Littleton, CO 80128. If guests would like to wear Hawaiian attire, it would be appropriate and welcome. Updated information will be communicated on this site.
