Robert Paul Sillick

May 11, 1948 - July 3, 2026

Robert (Bob) Paul Sillick was born May 11, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York to Virginia (Leoniak) Sillick and Edward Sillick.  The family moved a number of times during Bob’s early years, finally settling in Columbus, Ohio in 1955.  As a youth, Bob was very active in Boy Scouts, attending campouts, earning merit badges, and attending National Jamborees.  He graduated from Whetstone High School in 1966.

Bob attended the Ohio State University and studied journalism and political science.  One of his first jobs was as a disc jockey for KCOL, a progressive rock radio station in Columbus.  Bob was also a professional photographer, worked in advertising, and was a contract copy writer for a variety of commercial enterprises.

In 2000, Bob left Columbus and relocated to Tampa, Florida to enjoy the sunshine and to be closer to his aging parents.  In 2019, Bob relocated to Colorado to be near his nieces and their family.  Throughout his life, Bob’s interests included music, golf, tennis, and reading.

Bob is survived by his three siblings, James Sillick, Sr., Barbara Sillick, and Jeffrey Sillick.  He is also survived by two nieces, Traci (Mike) Kirk and Katherine Sillick, two nephews, James Sillick, Jr. and Joshua Sillick, and two grand nieces, Morgan Kirk and Sloane Kirk.
