William Ascherman Obituary Denver, CO

William Scott Ascherman, 24, of Aurora, Colorado died on June 9, 2022. He was born on May 19, 1998 in Greenwood Village, the son of Scott and Barb (Kardong) Ascherman. He attended Cherry Creek schools and graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2017 where he was Prom King and competed on the lacrosse team. A gifted athlete, Will grew up as a sports fanatic. He swam for Sundance Swim Team, and he loved golf, football, wrestling, baseball, and soccer. He participated in DECA and Young Life. He attended the University of Arizona and aspired to earn a business degree.

Will traveled Europe extensively; first, with People to People and two more times after high school. He was an adventurer and loved to explore new countries. Will had a passion for fast Subarus and ultimately owned four during his life. He loved going to Geneva Glen Camp for many summers while growing up.

He had an outgoing personality. He was helpful, caring, and never met a stranger.  Many people considered Will their “best friend.” He is remembered as being the first person to lend a hand when help was needed.

Will loved his family and friends. He is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Barb of Aurora and Scott of Las Vegas; his sister Lizzy of Denver and Tommy of Aurora both of whom he adored. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, Ron and Nancy Aschermann of Rocky Ford, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his late grandmother, “Scottie” Aschermann and his late grandparents, William and Dolores Kardong of Greeley, Colorado. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends with whom he made a point to connect with whenever he could.
